Hi! I’m Alberto Chapa, a producer and Ableton Certified Trainer with a passion for helping artists and organizations turn their ideas into reality. My company, Musical Guest, works with artists to produce music, design live performance sets, and playback rigs. Musical Guest also works with organizations and schools to give musicians and students access to modern music-making tools.
As an Ableton Certified Trainer, I offer production coaching and Ableton lessons to people that want to get into music-making or want to take their production experience to the next level.
I’ve been called a natural teacher. I enjoy sharing my knowledge and experience with my students and clients. I approach all of my production sessions with a relaxed and upbeat energy that takes away the stress of learning something new.

ABLETON CERTIFICATION

As the worldwide Ableton user community has grown, the demand for high quality Ableton Live training led to requests for an official, Ableton-approved qualification. To meet these needs, the Certification Program was launched by Ableton in 2008. There are less than 400 Ableton Certified Trainers in the World, and each of them has been thoroughly tested by Ableton in all of the following areas:
ABLETON PLATFORM KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
A Certified Trainer knows the Ableton products inside out and is able to explain functions and features in a detailed but clear way.
TEACHING SKILLS
A Certified Trainer has exemplary teaching skills and knows how to explain simple facts as well as complex concepts in any situation.
EXPERIENCE IN THE FIELD AND TECHNICAL AND THEORETICAL KNOWLEDGE
Certified Trainers know their way around audio/music technology and music theory, and are also comfortable adapting to a quickly-changing product landscape.
Since the Program's inception Ableton has certified only the best and most capable trainers in order to ensure that the Ableton user community has access to a high standard of training. The Certification Program emphasizes quality over quantity and only a select group of trainers and institutions in each geographical region receive certification.
